Banana Republic Optical

Since I mostly wear contacts, I don't pay too much attention when I get glasses (every decade or so) - I just want them cheap. First, I get lost trying to pick them up (in my defense, I have moved to a new small town). The next day, with address in hand, after I pick them up, I get home and notice along the sides is "Banana Republic." I am upset because I detest free advertising all over our clothing, etc. that this culture has submitted too (not to mention not being a fan of their politics). Then, it hits me - I am making a political statement - we are indeed living in a Banana Republic & I wear them proudly (when I forego contacts). You will have to put your glasses on to read 😎.
