5th Day.....

..... coke withdrawal, not the drug, the "a-cola" kind. The severe headaches are about gone, now the lethargy and mustering enough strength to soldier through. This is my third life-time experience; apparently I am a very slow learner. The silver lining is that I am going through this with a friend, texting our headaches, lack of energy, cravings, loss of functioning brain, etc. Today, I went out for my walk, without my shorts. Apparently, it is not a rare event in the senior complex. I will be very careful with today's task - editing the company newsletter. For incentive to make day 6, we are figuring out what our 30 day chip will be. Maybe you'd like to join us.

7th Day

More memories of my father..... growing up he insisted on a "day of rest," no homework, no work, pleasure reading, music, lots of time in the park. To say we were thought of as weird puts it mildly, but it became a habit that I fell into during periods of my adulthood, then I would lapse. I am going to try it again, adding stopping of electronics, or at least cutting way back, and it always includes a special breakfast! Give it a try with me!

Respite

Summer's over, but I did manage to spend some time of reflection & inspiration in the Smokey Mountains. Jeep loved it and she is itching to get to big brother Rockies. It helps that I am an expert mountain driver, even in the European Alps. The credit & thanks goes to my father who would not let me drive until I could go round and round a cul-de-sac without adjusting the steering wheel. May you all spend some time in beautiful surroundings!
