12,000

… miles (and not on a jet plane). That is what my new Jeep says. A person would think, “wow – so many postcards & refrigerator magnets to collect.” But no, I take the I-94 retrace express. My plan to maintain low mileage is out the window, but for a good cause – the best – I assist 2 family members living 2 hours apart. And, with a year of free Sirius radio (new to me), I ride with my new friends, the country music dj’s. Keeping me awake at first (especially when the roads were icy), I am now attached to the lyrics & trivia. And I am grateful for the company!

Neon Friends

I need new shoes & detest the lack of choice. However, like all good brain-washed consumers, I give in, this time to the neon craze. After an exhaustive search, I find ones pared down to just offensive shoestrings. And, after too long of a hiatus, I begin walking again. To my delight, I find much needed camaraderie with river walkers. No matter age, size, speed, status of dress, a bond develops, a smile, wave or friendly morning aside. This week I hear, “Thanks for the great weather; “May the Lord bless your day;” and “Happy weekend.” And those, my blog friends, are my wishes for you!
