A River Runs Through It

Just finished reading the book giving details from one of my favorite movies (first introduced in my family therapy class). Thought provoking - differences in siblings & how family members try to help and just don't know how - some either can't or won't accept help, despite tragic circumstances.

The author's first novel, published when he was 70 - maybe there's hope for me to tell & publish my story 😎

Something New

Spending time away for my birthday, I forgot to pack underwear, socks & shampoo.... I don't think I like the aging process.

Monday Inspiration

For anybody else having trouble getting going this Monday morning, I will share my gift from the Most High as I looked out my front window.

Denver Lifejackets

Denver was a fun adventure, helping Sacred Word Publishing sell books, assisting Zen with his presentation, meeting lots of people.

And then, the great airport adventure. Hit with an ice and snow storm, I experienced something new. After switching gates and planes a couple times and multiple delays, we were once again delayed due to 2 missing life jackets 😎, eventually making it home.

Just For Fun....

.... my day began with a leaking tire and a cracked windshield. While at the service center, watching my jeep on the hoist, I notice 4 guys standing around it & thought, "this cannot be good," until my friend texted to me, "they're probably just telling dirty jokes," which made me lol. May you find some humor in your day, no matter what you are facing.

Joy to the World

It's been 2 long years. But, I have been released by my surgeon to proceed to full range of motion as tolerated. Actually, that was a month or two ago. After my PT got me on the road, I  began the "Next Steps" program for 8 weeks, & since I didn't fully participate, I am now on my second 8 week program. The personal trainers have put together a second set of exercises and machines for me to use & they check on me & push me. I am starting to feel a little normal again!

Fashion Alert

After resisting (not really understanding) Capri pants, I caved and bought my first pair. So now you can expect them to go completely out of style 😼 

Half Birthdays...

They're the best! Especially if you have a winter birthday. You can buy half cakes (or individual slices), small ice cream containers and half as many candles. Get yourself a birthday card and cut it in half. Gift ideas: half dollar (year being your half age), 6 roses, sleeveless shirt, sandals, shorts, bow tie, anklet socks, table lamp, a one way ticket to your dream destination........and I'm out of here!

The Anchor Holds

Just recovering from taking mom to emergency room twice (broken thumb, high blood pressure, etc.) And, recovering from my surgery (which is taking longer than expected).

Small Miracles

Mom lost her (very expensive) hearing aide while shopping today. Miracle of miracles, a kind lady found it on the pavement outside the store & returned it to the manager. We all got to celebrate: the clerks, manager, people shopping, mom and me!

I wish that you all may experience a miracle of your own!
